Dan Weidner, M.A., LMHP
Daniel is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a Certified Professional Counselor. He has studied and practiced mindfulness meditation (Shamatha-Vipassana) for over 30 years. He uses his practice to stay present with the vicissitudes of his personal life, and has incorporated them into his work with seriously emotionally disturbed and mentally ill children, adolescents and their families. Dan continues to explore the human experience through a variety of avenues including Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, yogic practices, the current research into the effects of mindfulness practices on the human mind and body, and a range of therapeutic approaches and practices.
