An Arthurian Legend
What does it mean to truly see another, beyond the categorical boxes and superficial presentations that we first encounter on meeting? How can we work to honor the agency of another without trying to shape them according to our own needs and out of our own fears in relationship? How might we wake from the spell of cultural conditioning and ego to see ourselves with clarity and purpose? What is needed to see those before us through the lens of compassion?
These themes are tightly woven into a riddle asked of King Arthur and answered by the most unlikely of sages. Together, using storytelling, mindfulness, contemplative writing, and art making, we will consider and unravel these mysteries to find our own understanding of deep respect for ourselves and for the other.
