Sitting MeditationSitting Meditation | No Charge
We begin our sitting with either a reading or a simple chant before setting a gentle intention. We then sit in meditation together for 30 minutes and briefly share our experience of the practice with one another before heading back out into the world. Feel free to bring your own cushion or bench, or use one of ours. Silent Sitting Meditation | No Charge Same as above without the talking :-) Mindfulness Study Group | No Charge
We read a mindfulness text together so there is no pre-reading or homework involved. Copies of the book being studied will be available for use in the study session. For those preferring to have their own copy, the books are available in print or electronically. We will also offer copies at cost for participants. |
Moving Meditation
Authentic Movement | No Charge
Authentic Movement aims to bridge the gap between the body and the psyche through natural movement. By inviting images, narratives, and belief systems to express themselves through the body, it becomes possible to more fully awaken ourselves to our histories, our desires, and our intuition and reestablish the body as a powerful ally. Four Directions | No Charge In the tradition of ancient movement practices such as Qi Gong and indigenous Earth awareness practices, the Four Directions Moving Meditation is an opportunity to place our attention on the natural cycles of the Earth to locate ourselves within these cycles. A simple, gentle and slow sequence of movements lead us through the Four Directions and ground us to begin our day in gratitude and awareness. |

Scheduled over the lunch hour, you are free to drop in for a quick sketch or bring your own projects to work on in a quiet, nurturing environment (basic media and paper is provided). |
